About

Hi there! I’m Natalie. I live in Washington, on a woodsy, island-dotted bay that is usually covered in a blanket of gray clouds. I currently work from my home, which includes my husband, two school-aged children, and our Old English Sheepdog, Ozzy. I’m a high school English teacher by trade, and have worked with children from infants through teens for over 25 years.

As the founder and producer of All the Beautiful Books, I help parents and caregivers to create meaningful connections with their children through highly engaging, beautifully designed books. My teaching and work experience have given me a wealth of tips and techniques for developing story times that kids look forward to. I also love to make book recommendations for reluctant readers. I’ve checked out thousands of books from the library over the years – I am passionate about books, but even more passionate about “reading time together”.

Following God is important to me, so I also provide overviews for faith-based books and tips on how to build Bible time into your daily life with your children. I love to get recommendations from you, too!

I encourage you to get as many books as you can from your local library, but I also make recommendations for books that you may want to add to your permanent collection or to buy as a gift. This (along with affiliates) is how my blog generates income and helps to support the Cyanjano library in Zambia, Africa.
